The International Community of Women Living with HIV will officially open its new offices today on 6th February 2015 at 5.00 p.m. The offices are located at Plot 1106, Ssenge, on Kampala – Hoima Road, off Kayunga Trading centre, before Wakiso Town.
We are going to launch a series of activities to celebrate ICWEA’s 10 years of existence with the theme, “ICWEA @ 10: Celebrating Women living with HIV”.
The Chief Guest is Prof. Vinand Nantulya, the Chairman Uganda AIDS Commission and on the same day we shall be blessed to have the former president of Botswana H.E Festus Mogae and Stephen Lewis as our Motivational Speaker. Stephen Lewis is the co-founder and co-director of AIDS Free World in the United States and a board Chair of Stephen Lewis foundation. He is also former UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, a very influential commentator on social affairs, International Development and Human Rights.
