The Regional Coordinator, ICWEA will be attending the East African Community 8th Regional HIV & AIDS Partnership Forum. ICWEA has committed to strengthen its working relationship and collaboration with the East African Community and the African Union in 2014 and attending this Forum is contributing to this goal.
The meeting objectives are to facilitate multi-stakeholder interaction among HIV and AIDS sector stakeholders in order to help shape the EAC HIV and AIDS regional agenda.
Specifically, the forum will:
- Be a forum for EAC to share progress in the implementation of the regional multi-sectoral HIV and AIDS programme
- To provide strategic information on emerging issues and challenges related to HIV and AIDS and identify areas in need of policy, programming and technical support
- Identify opportunities for new and or strengthened collaborations in the area of HIV and AIDS services, coordination, alignment and harmonisation of HIV and AIDS programming in the region
