The International Community of women living with HIV Eastern Africa this year will join the rest of the world to celebrate the IWD by celebrating women living with HIV in the Eastern Africa region upon their achievements., and contribution to fighting HIV and AIDS.
The International Community of women living with HIV Eastern Africa this year will join the rest of the world to celebrate the IWD and is launching The F.I.E.R.C.E Women Living with HIV Award –which will be celebrated annually during the month of March in alignment with the International Women’s Day (8th March 2021).
This year ICWEA will identify and award a woman who is a Fighter, Intelligent, Empowered, Resilient, Courageous and is Excelling at causing positive to fellow women within the community of Women Living with HIV in Eastern Africa.
Additionally, the award will be extended to two other women who have made great milestones in their personal journeys as well as dedication to touching the lives of other women in the various area including SRH, access to care and treatment, policy advocacy, policy environment, HIV prevention, stigma and discrimination, VAWG, economic empowerment programs and addressing the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic among others.
This is a kind request to circulate the call for nominations here attached to your network members as soon as possible.
The nominations which will include a justification and profiles of the nominees should be shared with the secretariat to awards@icwea by 26th February, 2021.
